DWC is able to help these pups because of the generosity of our incredible members! The DWA Mid-Winter Fundraising Auction is set to run for three weeks starting, February 4, 2022 and will close on Friday, the 25th at 9PM EST. We are so happy to have helped and currently helping the following doggos: Christy Rogers and her little girl, Daphne who is currently being analyzed and treated for Lepto. Eunice Florek Swalinkavich and her 9-yr old longhair doxie, Willy, who has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Their vet is working with with Eunice to properly analyze his glucose and get him on the best life-long treatment plan. Also, her beautiful senior boy, Rocky who was seen to check out a large grown on his butt - and thankfully, it turned out to be something benign and to keep a watchful eye on. Marla Phillips Arthur and her darling girl, Ivy. Ivy is a six month old mini dachshund puppy who has recently been diagnosed with "Angular Limb Deformity-Carpus". This is an expensive surgery, and DWC is going to help her as much as possible. Ivy's vet would like to wait until she's 10-mo old before surgery. So we are looking at a surgery date sometime in June, 2022. Stephani Wood Talley came to us for her son and daughter-in-law, Olivia Talley for their young Boxer boy, Homie. Homie needed an emergency surgery to clear a bowel obstruction. He's recovering very well! We assisted with the balance that their Care Credit did not cover. They are still looking for financial relief on their GoFundMe. Homie did excellent with the surgery, and it turned out that he gobbled up a corn cob! That was his obstruction. Thankfully, he's on the mend! Kim Benno and her sweet 8-yr non-doxie, Emma Jane (I'm so sorry but I'm unsure of this sweet girl's breed. She's simply beautiful! Maybe a shih-poo or shih-tzu? I apologize for not recalling her adorable breed type. In any event, Emma-Jane, required an emergency blood transfusion after becoming infected with the tic-born disease, Ehrlichiosis. Emma is doing great now! (I'll put a photo in the comments). Deena Weaver and her 5-yr old doxie girl, Kate. DWC helped Deena and Kate with mammary gland tumor removal surgery. Chelsea White and Bobby, a 6-yr old male dachshund who had gone into a VEC for pancreatitis.
