It’s about an absolutely adorable, and brave little Doxie angel, named Bella. Bella was fighting for her life, battling an uncommon form of cancer, known as canine hemangiosarcoma. Those who have been following Bella and sharing her journey, cannot not help being touched by her brave fighting spirit. Bella, with her dedicated mom's help, held her own for a very long time but sadly succumbed to her illness with the help her her mom to cross the bridge just a few days ago. After many treatments and a fair prognosis, Bella was unable to maintain her wellness. Jenny is a lost soul since she said farewell to Bella. Our fundraiser started out to help Jenny with the climbing medical costs and now is left without Bella and a debt that she is struggling with. The auction will continue until it's scheduled end date and the funds will help with the left over vet invoice and funds to help Jenny recover from the financial hardship. Bella, we all love you and will miss you very much. RIP sweetest angel. |

Thank you so very much!
Helping Our Babies - Surgery for Princess (CLOSED)
Thank you for helping us reach our goal!
Meet Princess, a chocolate based, red dapple smooth coat Miniature Dachshund. Princess is about 11 years old, but didn't have much of a life, with her backyard breeder owner, for her first 7 years. At age 7, she had her seventh and final litter. This was May 23, 2011. No longer useful to the breeder, Princess was surrendered to a Rescue, before she had her last litter, then made available for adoption after her pups were adopted and she was completely vetted. She was adopted by Susan Vaughn and her husband, Alan because they fell in love with how loving she is. |
After 7 long years, she no longer had to earn her keep by making babies. On December 26, 2011, Princess was home and the adoption was final. At long last she had a home, where she would be loved, just for being herself. She even had the joy of being reunited with one of her pups, who had previously been adopted by the Vaughn's. Princess has developed cataracts, and has been blinded in the right eye. Pressure built up in the eye, and it became extremely painful. The prognosis was that the eye could rupture, become infected, and possibly be life threatening. The eye had to come out. Now, we are trying to help pay for that surgery. Prognosis for Princess, with the eye removed, is good.
