This auction is to benefit Bentley, a 4 yr. old, red dachshund that found his fur-ever home with Bradley Cromer in 2017. Prior to that, Bentley experienced heartache and losses with his previous families.

Now Bentley has another challenge he’s facing. On March 12, 2020 Bentley just happened to turn wrong and ended up rupturing discs in his back. He became paralyzed from his midsection to the tip of his tail.

His family started a fundraiser to help with expenses for Bentley’s treatments and medications, but the funds are depleting and won’t cover everything he needs. He has been receiving acupuncture and electro-acupuncture as an attempt to help him recover. Unfortunately Bentley is now in need of major surgery to repair his spine. This also involves the need for an MRI. Bentley lives in North Carolina, but his surgeon is located in Illinois at the Haire Veterinary Clinic (611 E. Broad St., Jonesboro, IL 62952).

This means that Bentley and his family will have to travel a distance for his surgery and follow up appointments, but this was the best facility that meets Bentley’s needs. We need your help to try and give Bentley the chance to walk again and live a happy life.
