Leap Into Spring!
Helping Our Babies Auction Ends Thursday, 2021, at 9:00 PM EDT. CLOSED
We are leaping into Spring with an auction to replenish our Emergency Funds. Over the past couple of months we have helped several pups and their families and continue to have scheduled upcoming vet appointments. Oscar (Melissa Jones) had surgical procedures for kidney stone removal and a tumor on his spleen. We also covered an emergency vet bill due to complications following his surgery. Barney (Michelle Finet) is a newly diagnosed diabetic and needed labs and x-rays done. Nilo (Jennifer Leen Aguas) required treatment for Parvo and is recovering nicely. Sassy (Bridgette Taylor) will be having surgery to remove and biopsy some small lumps underneath her skin. Latte (Tonya Whitaker) is in need of lab work and vaccinations. There is also the possibility that Latte may have Cushing’s disease. Carmella and Lightening (Angela Kirtos) will be going for dental surgery and both have had pre-op diagnostics done to clear them for surgery. Hans (Tracy Macomber) who needed a dental appointment. Rascal (Amber Chase Frairly) was in need of x-rays and medication. Ali-Rose (Victoria Marott) required surgery to both her eyes due to cysts and an eyelid repair. Then we have Bo (Lesley Porter Fletcher) who is newly diagnosed with Cushing’s disease. As always, none of this would be possible without the assistance of our generous members. We thank you for your support! For convenience in viewing and bidding, please utilize the auction album. Dachshund World Charities strives to provide the necessary funding of extraordinary veterinary care for pups, when the owner can’t afford that care. We do this primarily through auctions in our two auction groups, Dachshund World Auctions, and Helping Our Babies Auctions. By retaining a 15% administration fee from the auctions, we try to keep some cash on hand for emergencies. This emergency fund is critical because not all pups can wait for an auction. All too often it is a life or death situation. Unfortunately, critical needs have once again depleted our emergency fund. This auction is to rebuild the fund, so that we can respond in emergencies. It is heart wrenching to say “I’m sorry, your dog will have to die, because we have no money”. Lately we’ve had an uncommonly large number of requests for assistance in providing vet care for sick and injured pups. They’ve been front to back, broken jaw to paralysis of hind quarters, and everything in between; well, maybe not everything, but it seems so. The result is that our emergency fund is close to being wiped out, and we desperately need to replenish it. Please be sure to register your email with us so we can handle the auction closing and invoice you. |
All admins thank you so much for your donations and bids. Please be patient while the spreadsheet is updated and invoices will be sent to you with your totals. Just because the auction ends, you can still use this donate button to donate and make auction winning payments.
